Sabudana jhura khichdi or sago seeds dry fry is a prominent dish consumed in breakfast or main meal in several parts of India. It is mainly a common dish western and southern states like Maharastra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajesthan, Karnataka etc. Soaked sago seeds are accompanied by sauteed potatoes and other veggies as per the preference. Rich in carbohydrate, peanuts are often added to include protein in the meal to make it a balanced whole some consumption.
Sabudana khichdi are generally prepared in two ways… A soggy one and a dry jhura one. Mostly the later one is loved by all.
So today… Amigos Cookroom is here with a simple yet healthy recipe of preparing sabudana jhura khidchi.
Big Sago seeds / big saboodana
Potato cut into bite size pieces
Onion finely chopped (optional)
Ginger finely chopped
Green chilies finely chopped
Tomato finely chopped
Curry leaves or coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Sugar as per preference
Curry leaves (i couldn’t manage to get on that day of shoot)
